Charity Projects We Support
At The Bookcase we have a longstanding partnership with Nottinghamshire Hospice and try to support and fundraise in different ways. We have a “loose change” tin on the counter of course, but also sell their beautiful metal Forget-me Not flowers which have been a popular and lovely way to contribute to this wonderful local charity.
We have also recently collaborated with Jo-Hanna’s Cafe in Lowdham by creating seasonal story trails in the woods behind Lowdham Village Hall, selling book related picnics and biscuits in the cafe, and at Easter holding a raffle in aid of Rainbows Hospice – another vitally important charity which both businesses have links with.
A new partnership is happening too with a local organisation called Matthew 25:40 which is raising money to provide books to schools with themes of diversity, kindness, and tolerance – we are so happy to be involved with this worthwhile project.
If you have a charity fundraising project we are always happy to donate one of our Bookcase vouchers as a raffle prize, to display posters and to sell tickets on your behalf (no charge for this!)
