At the Bookcase, we are keen to promote Book Groups and offer a discount of 15% on Reading Group choices. In store we have a selection of contemporary fiction and biography, and are always happy to order in titles not on our shelves.

Occasionally we have events specifically organised for local Reading Groups. On the first day of Lowdham Book Festival this year, there is to be an author event sponsored by Bloomsbury in which groups who have read the designated titles will have the opportunity to meet with and ask questions of the authors.

Future plans – we are exploring the possibility of putting on more film-based events throughout the year, These may include lectures on film as well as monthly film showings and we are very pleased to have the use of the Lowdham Methodist Chapel as a lovely venue for this. Watch this space!
